Ice of Spades was photographed by Philip Waller at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Iceland. A sculpted block of translucent blue glacier ice rises from a black volcanic shoreline, with fractured ice pieces and distant glacial forms describes the surrounding landscape beneath a muted overcast sky. The smooth contours and internal textures reflect the slow natural forces that shape glacial ice over time.
